CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (July 2, 2020) – Earlier this week, the Coalition of Law Enforcement and Retail (CLEAR) conducted a virtual presentation to the Wilmette, Illinois Police Department for 2020 Case of the Year and the ORC Investigator of the Year. CLEAR President Ben Dugan proudly announced the Case of the Year as “Operation Chainlink”, and was accepted by Chief Kyle Murphy, Commander Michael Robinson, and Detective Maria Olivio. Dugan also awarded Ben Laird of CVS Health as ORC Investigator of the Year.

Earlier this year, for the first time in its eleven-year history, CLEAR announced the cancellation of its annual training conference due to national concerns regarding the COVID-19 public health crisis. The organization made the decision as several members continue to fight on the front lines against the virus.

In alignment with its mission and commitment to providing best-in-class training to the law enforcement and retail communities, CLEAR announced its partnership with the upcoming Global Retail Crime Summit, which will be held virtually on July 16, 2020. The 2020 Case of the Year, along with several other CLEAR sessions, will be presented during the day of digital discovery, learning, and networking. With 1,700+ registrations, the summit serves as an opportunity to connect and learn from transformational AP/LP executives, aspiring leaders, next-level investigators, heroic store professionals, and law enforcement from around the world.

CLEAR’s Global Retail Crime Summit sessions include Importance of Advanced Security Planning with Wayne Black of Wayne Black & Associates, Violent Crime Response with Ben Dugan of CVS Health, Open Source Investigations with Detective Sean Smith of Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, and Leading Investigators with Captain Kate Adams of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

The event is free and can be accessed from anywhere around the world. To register, please visit bit.ly/CLEARGRCS.
